What will you learn?

This Certified Advanced Studies (CAS) program equips dentists with clinical and digital competence in implant dentistry.

It combines evidence-based learning, surgical and prosthetic hands-on training, and comprehensive case development, spread across three in-person modules and guided self-study.

Program Modules

Module 1:

Surgical Foundations of Implant Dentistry (4 days + Self-studies)

– Evidence-based decision-making

– Patient evaluation and treatment planning

– Soft and hard tissue biology and healing

– Implant systems and surgical protocols

– Hands-on: Infection control, implant motor setup, suturing

– Live surgery by faculty and one case per participant (or documented video case)

Module 2:

Fundamentals of Prosthetic Techniques (3 days + Self-studies)

Module 3:

Assessment, Maintenance & Career Development (2 days + Self-studies)

Evaluation & Examinations

Written Exam: 100 MCQs (3 hours), pass mark 65%

Oral Exam: 15-minute oral examination based on case presentation, graded by university faculty and ORF representative

Case Presentation: Summary of 4 implant cases, digital planning, and self-reflection

Certification Requirements

To receive the Certificate of Advanced Studies, participants must:
βœ” Pass both written and oral examinations
βœ” Attend all modules
βœ” Place at least 4 implants, documented sufficiently
βœ” Participate in all hands-on activities
βœ” Submit and present all patient cases

Quality Assurance

Immediate feedback: Every module is evaluated by participants at the end of the session.

Annual review: Course structure and content are reviewed by the ORF Education Committee annually for continuous improvement.
