Hom-Lay Wang

Dr. Hom-Lay Wang, DDS, MSD, PhD

Hom-Lay is Professor and Director of Graduate Periodontics at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He holds degrees in Dentistry (DDS), Periodontology (MSD), and a PhD in Oral Biology.

He is internationally recognized for his contributions to periodontology and implant dentistry, with more than 900 peer-reviewed scientific articles and over 65 book chapters and invited reviews. He is also co-editor of four textbooks and serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research, in addition to sitting on the editorial boards of several leading dental journals.

Hom-Lay currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) and has held multiple leadership positions within national and international dental organizations. His academic and clinical achievements have been recognized with numerous honors, including the AAP Outstanding Educator Award, AAP Distinguished Scientist Award, AAP Master Clinician Award, and the ADA Evidence-Based Dentistry Award.

At the Oral Reconstruction Foundation, Dr. Wang contributes as a member of the Board of Trustees and Research Committee.
