Dr. Homa Zadeh, DDS, PhD

Homa is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Implant Surgery. He earned his doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of Southern California (USC) Ostrow School of Dentistry, where he served for 26 years as full-time faculty, attaining tenure. His tenure at USC included serving as director of the post-doctoral periodontology program, as well as director of the Annual International USC Periodontal & Implant Symposium. His clinical and scientific education included post-doctoral clinical training in Periodontology and a PhD in Immunology from the University of Connecticut.

He is internationally recognized for his clinical and scientific expertise. His publications span a wide range of topics, including esthetic and minimally invasive periodontal and implant surgery, as well as tissue engineering. Homa holds numerous patents, including for VISTA instruments and methods, as well as modular bone fixation screws. He served as President of the Western Society of Periodontology in 2017.

He currently directs the VISTA Institute for Therapeutic Innovations, offering blended educational programs on clinically relevant topics, and maintains a private practice limited to periodontology and implant surgery in Southern California.

As part of the Oral Reconstruction Foundation, he contributes to global scientific and educational initiatives through his roles as a member of the Advisory Board, Education Committee, and Board of Directors of ORF U.S. Section., helping shape the Foundation’s direction in clinical innovation and interdisciplinary learning.
