Irena Sailer

Prof. Dr. Irena Sailer, Dr. med. dent.

Irena is Head of the Division of Fixed Prosthodontics and Biomaterials at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, and Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, USA. She is a member of the Research Committee of the Oral Reconstruction Foundation, where she contributes to evaluating research proposals, ensuring scientific rigor, and supporting innovation in prosthodontics and implant dentistry.

She received her dental degree and Dr. med. dent. from the University of Tübingen, Germany. She later held academic positions at the University of Zurich, including Associate Professor in the Clinic of Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics and Dental Materials. Irena has also served as a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Biomaterials and Biomimetics, New York University.

A recognized specialist in prosthodontics and dental implantology, Irena is an active board member of multiple international scientific organizations, including the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO), the Swiss Society for Reconstructive Dentistry, and the International Team for Implantology (ITI). Her clinical and research expertise focuses on esthetic prosthodontics, biomaterials, and evidence-based rehabilitation protocols.
