Martin is passionate about leading diverse teams and creating scalable, impactful solutions for a healthier future. With a focus on trust, growth, and operational excellence, he brings together science, business, and strategy to support meaningful innovation in medtech.
He holds an MSc and a Doctorate in Materials Science from ETH Zurich (Switzerland), an MBA from the University of Rochester (USA), an Executive MBA from the University of Bern (Switzerland), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Business from Columbia Business School and MIT Sloan (USA).
Martin began his industry career at Smith & Nephew in 2007 and joined Straumann in 2008, where he advanced to Head of Global Medical and Clinical Affairs. In 2015, he joined the Executive Management of the AO Foundation as Director of the AOCID Institute. In 2020, he co-founded device25, a Swiss boutique CRO specializing in musculoskeletal medicine, and continues to advise medtech entrepreneurs and scale-up teams.
Since 2021, Martin has led the strategic direction and daily operations of the Oral Reconstruction Foundation. He serves as the key liaison across its governance bodies, oversees global programs in research and education, and drives the foundation’s international presence in the field of oral reconstruction.
